If there’s one thing I know about foodies is that they don’t anything by halves. There is no such thing as one meal or a quick bite to eat. There is always invariably more and it is a calculated impossibility that foodies can’t end a meal on a savoury note. As Shez quips, foodies cannot skip dessert no matter the time or how bloated. Similarly we can’t just hit the markets and have brunch without heading out for more food afterwards. (Speaking of which, can you still call it a brunch if you end up having lunch?).
After us piggies went to the market, lunch at Darling Harbour was in order to fill our hungry souls. The light at the end of the tunnel was a sugar intake at my perennial haunt, Lindt Café, but before that we settled at Blackbird Café.

Admittedly lunch was nothing to get truly excited about but that was just a primer before the main event of Lindt Café. Isn't she beautiful?

My Ice Milk Chocolate beverage was waiting for me, naturally, and begging me to take it in my arms and ravage it. And ravage I did, with a groan and a gentle lick of the froth at the corner of my mouth. And thanks to Richard, I finally got a taste of a Lindt milkshake, which was gloriously creamy, like a more voluptuous Ice Chocolate. Good for the odd passionate tryst but this maiden will always remain my one and only.
The delices were also crying out for love and I obliged with a hazelnut and a passionfruit delice. It was essentially Nutella in a macaron nutshell while the chewy passionfruit macaron was perfect with its chocolate ganache filling.

The delices are so heartbreakingly pretty that Richard deemed them fit enough for an impromptu fashion shoot in its paper bag (which actually made quite a nifty lightbox). That’s him - facing off with my delices and taking his lens to worlds unknown and back again. LOL.

A giant macaron dessert had Suze’s name written all over it and it was indeed rich in filling and coconut crispy on the outside. Suze was on the backfoot and was nearly defeated by the sugar overload but she persisted. And slowly picked at it with her fork. And won.

Shez delighted in the waffles from the delectable ice cream dome to the sensuous pouring of the chocolate sauce. Plain and simple, they were delightfully cakey, freshly made and geometrically adorable.

Seriously I should just move to Lindt and beg them to let me sleep in their storeroom, as I can’t tear myself away from this place. It’s the beacon (or bane – however you want to look at it) of my gluttonous existence. Mr S suspects an adulterous affair with one Ice Chocolate and really, who am I to deny it?

Hee hee I are really really craving some Lindt waffle and ice choc right now... I mean really really really craving XD
Hehe I think that if you moved into their pantry you might find some other food bloggers already in there ;) My favourite Macaron flavour there is the citron or lemon. It's so divine! I can't go past without buying one.
oh man, Lindt Cafe....oh how I wish I could go back there and just eat EVERYTHING! If they let you move in, make sure there is enough room for me to come visit for a week or two.
