Cafe Zivelli - Lane Cove

Umm is there anything better than breakfast that you don't have to cook yourself? Even better, a cafe that was generous with the bacon and smoked salmon. Pile them high I say!

Saturday real-estate trawls at Lane Cove with Miss J could only mean one thing...breakfast at the locals' favourite and my preferred brekkie haunt, Cafe Zivelli. 

Coming here on an empty stomach is not a good idea. Displays of focaccias, wraps, sandwiches, quiches, banana bread, salads, blueberry bagels and muffins makes it hard not to order everything!

I had the Zivelli big breakfast with all the usual suspects - bacon, sausage, eggs, grilled tomato, toast (we're talking good, homemade, thick -sliced bread) and fried mushrooms. Delish! One bad thing is my eggs came fried, not scrambled - as the waiter failed to ask me how I'd like my eggs...and I forgot to tell him. Oops!

Miss J orders the Eggs Benedict and I eye off the thick splodge of smoked salmon under two wobbling poached eggs. Miss J was even kind enough to let me pop the yolks. Aah the simple things in life.....

I'm not a coffee drinker but Miss J assures me that the Artecaffe coffee is very good and judging by the sheer amount of takeaway coffees sold in the short time I was there, I'd say she was right.

Cafe Zivelli is usually busy so be prepared to wait for a table.

Can you imagine if Miss J finally moves to Lane Cove? Crash on her couch, then brekkie at Zivellis....I can just imagine it now.....
